The EVE Audio SC203 Active Studio Monitor Set is a compact active monitor system consisting of a master and slave speaker, designed for nearfield work in small studios, workstations and multimedia environments. Despite its small size, the system offers professional audio performance with precise detail and balanced frequency response.
Each studio monitor features a 3" (75 mm) low-midrange speaker and a μAMT (micro Air Motion Transformer) high-frequency driver, characteristic of EVE Audio. μAMT technology provides clean and detailed high frequencies up to 21 kHz, and the frequency range (-3 dB) is from 62 Hz to 21,000 Hz. The crossover frequency is 4800 Hz.
The system uses a total of 4 amplifiers – one for each driver. The power is 30 W for the woofer and 30 W for the tweeter per speaker. The maximum sound pressure reaches 94 dB at 1 m, which is suitable for close listening. A built-in limiter protects against overload.
The SC203 offers flexible settings with a high-pass and low-pass shelf filter (-5 dB to +3 dB), position modes (flat, desk, console), as well as an 80 Hz high-pass filter when used with a subwoofer. RCA input (10 kΩ), digital optical input (TOSLink) and USB Type-B input are available, as well as an RCA subwoofer output. There is a selection of input level (+8 dBu / +22 dBu) and adjustable LED brightness.
Consumption is under 1 W in standby and up to 110 VA maximum. Dimensions are 116 x 190 x 134 mm. Weight: master 1.9 kg, slave 1.7 kg.
