Description
The ADAM Audio A77H is a professional, high-end A-Series active three-way studio monitor designed for critical monitoring in professional studios, post-production, Dolby Atmos setups and control rooms where exceptional linearity, high power and stable horizontal dispersion are required. The model is designed specifically for horizontal positioning and is often used as the main LCR or center monitor in multi-channel systems.
The A77H uses a three-way active architecture with separate drivers for each frequency range. Low frequencies are reproduced by two 7-inch composite woofers with 1.5" voice coils, which provide deep, controlled and powerful bass with an extension down to 34 Hz (-6 dB). This dual woofer configuration allows for high sound pressure and even energy distribution throughout the room, without compression or loss of definition.
The midrange is handled by a separate 3.5-inch composite driver that covers the critical area of vocals, dialogue, and key musical elements. Separating the midrange into a separate driver provides exceptional clarity, precise articulation, and a stable stereo image, especially important in mixing and post-production.
High frequencies are reproduced by a 1-inch ribbon tweeter capable of reaching 45 kHz. It provides ADAM's characteristic fast transient response, high detail and airiness, allowing for clear distinction of spatial effects, attacks and subtle nuances in the mix. Active crossovers at 400 Hz and 3 kHz ensure smooth transitions between frequency bands and minimal phase deviations.
The amplifier section is fully optimized for each range. The low frequencies are driven by a powerful Class-D amplifier with 200 W RMS, the mid-range driver uses Class-AB amplification with 55 W RMS, and the high frequencies – a Class-AB amplifier with 15 W RMS. The total RMS power of 340 W provides significant dynamic headroom and a maximum sound pressure of up to 106 dB SPL (peak), suitable for professional use in larger rooms.
The A77H features an advanced DSP section with HF shelf, HF notch/peak, low-mid notch/peak and LF shelf adjustments, as well as network connectivity via Ethernet (RJ45) for remote control and calibration. Built-in surge and overheating protections ensure reliable and stable operation under continuous load.
With balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, a shielded housing, and a strictly horizontal orientation, the ADAM Audio A77H is designed as a high-precision monitor for professionals who demand absolute control, scale, and detail in critical audio environments.
