Focal Trio11 Be is a professional active studio monitor designed for recording studios, mastering and critical mixing. It offers unique flexibility through two operating modes: classic 3-way mode and 2-way Focus Mode, which allows for quick switching and checking the translation of the mix to smaller systems. This solution provides the ability to monitor low, mid and high frequencies in detail, as well as a precise balance between them.
The cabinet is designed with an emphasis on acoustic precision. The 5″ diameter midrange speaker and the 11″ diameter subwoofer use a “W”-composite sandwich membrane, which combines lightness, rigidity and damping. This guarantees a clear and neutral sound without distortion. The high frequencies are reproduced by a 1″ beryl inverted dome tweeter, which provides exceptional clarity and fast response in any dynamic passages. The amplifier system is divided into ranges: 300 W for low frequencies, 150 W for midrange and 100 W for high frequencies, with the total power reaching 550 W, and the maximum sound pressure level is 118 dB, suitable for both near and mid-field monitoring.
The rear panel offers multiple controls for tonal balance and sensitivity, a low-pass filter, and an automatic standby mode. The midrange and tweeter panels can be rotated 360° in 90° increments, allowing for horizontal or vertical positioning of the monitor to suit the acoustic conditions of the room. Focus mode uses rapid switching to check the mix of bass-limited systems without losing precision.
TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology minimizes resonances and vibrations in the cabinet, ensuring a stable and clean sound. The Focal Trio11 Be is ideal for professionals looking for precise and detailed sound combined with flexible configuration control for different studio scenarios.
