The SmallRig 5478 Portable Photo Carbon Fiber Tripod is an ultra-compact and lightweight photography tripod designed for photographers and content creators who need high load capacity, stability, and minimal weight when traveling. The carbon fiber construction provides excellent stability and effective vibration reduction, while maintaining an extremely low weight of only 1.4 kg, making it ideal for long hikes and working on the go.
Despite its compact size, the tripod offers an impressive load capacity of up to 15 kg, allowing use with DSLR and mirrorless cameras, heavy lenses and additional accessories. The maximum working height reaches 160 cm, suitable for portrait, landscape and architectural photography, while the minimum height of 47 cm allows for shooting from a lower perspective. When folded, the tripod is 47 cm long, making it easy to transport in a backpack or camera bag.
SmallRig 5478 is equipped with a ball head with a 1/4"-20 quick-release plate, which ensures quick camera positioning and stable frame fixation. The head supports vertical tilt up to 90°, which is especially useful in portrait orientation. Independent panorama lock allows for precise framing, while the simple and reliable design of the head contributes to fast and intuitive operation.
The legs are made of carbon fiber and are divided into 5 sections, which contributes to the compact size when folded. Flip-lock mechanisms provide quick and secure locking when unfolding, and the round center column allows for additional fine height adjustment. The tripod has 3 built-in 1/4"-20 threads for mounting accessories such as magic arms, LED lighting or microphones, without the need for additional adapters.
