The device features 4 microphone inputs with XLR connectors, each with independent control and +48 V phantom power, allowing direct work with professional condenser and dynamic microphones. Recording is done in WAV format at 48 kHz / 24-bit, a standard for podcast and video productions, providing clean and detailed sound without compromising on quality. Each input has a gain of up to +70 dB, allowing you to work even with low-sensitivity microphones without the need for external preamps. The built-in compressor and EQ help to achieve a more even and professional sound at the recording stage, without the need for additional processing.
The PodTrak P4 NEXT offers four independent headphone outputs (3.5 mm TRS), allowing each participant to monitor their own audio without delay. In addition to the XLR inputs, the device also features a 3.5 mm TRRS input, suitable for connecting a smartphone or other external audio source for remote guests or phone calls. This makes it especially suitable for podcasts with remote participants.
The recorder supports microSDHC and microSDXC cards, and does not rely on internal memory, which ensures flexibility and security during long recordings. PodTrak P4 NEXT can be used both standalone and as a multitrack USB audio interface via a USB-C connection to a computer or mobile device. The device is compatible with Android and iOS, allowing integration into mobile workflows.
The power supply is adapted for mobile use via 2x AA batteries or USB power supply. With phantom power off, the device can operate for up to 8.5 hours, making it a reliable choice for long field recordings. The compact dimensions and weight of only 300 g allow for easy portability and use anywhere, without compromising on functionality.
