The drone The DJI Matrice 4E Worry-Free Plus Combo is a professional industrial drone designed for tasks such as aerial mapping, surveying, infrastructure inspection, and construction site monitoring. The model is part of the DJI Enterprise series and is optimized for collecting high-precision geospatial data, combining a powerful multi-sensor camera system, a laser rangefinder, and a platform designed for automated missions and professional operations.
DJI Matrice 4E offers:
Triple camera system with a 4/3" 20 MP main camera with mechanical shutter, as well as 48 MP medium tele and 48 MP tele cameras that allow for detailed inspections and shooting from different distances.
Built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1800 m, which provides precise distance measurements and assists in inspection and mapping work.
Maximum flight time of up to 49 minutes, allowing for longer missions and covering larger areas without frequent battery changes.
O4 Enterprise video transmission system that provides a stable connection and reliable drone control when operating at longer distances.
RTK positioning and support for GNSS systems GPS, Galileo, BeiDou and GLONASS, which guarantee high accuracy in geodesy, mapping and industrial applications.
The main camera of the Matrice 4E uses a 4/3" CMOS sensor with 20 MP effective resolution, which is specifically designed for photogrammetry and the creation of accurate orthophoto maps and 3D models. The camera features a mechanical shutter that eliminates motion distortion (rolling shutter) and allows for precise shooting in flight. The lens offers an equivalent focal length of 24 mm, and the adjustable aperture f/2.8 - f/11 provides flexible control over exposure in different lighting conditions.
In addition to the wide-angle camera, the drone also has a medium tele camera with a 1/1.3" CMOS sensor and 48 MP resolution, which uses an equivalent focal length of 70 mm and an aperture of f/2.8. This camera allows for more detailed shooting of objects from a greater distance, which is useful when inspecting infrastructure, industrial facilities or construction sites.
The third sensor is a telephoto camera with a 1/1.5" CMOS sensor and 48 MP resolution, which offers an equivalent focal length of 168 mm and an aperture of f/2.8. This configuration allows for capturing objects from a considerable distance with high detail, which increases safety when inspecting difficult-to-reach or risky objects.
All cameras support video recording up to UHD 4K at 30 fps, allowing for high-quality video capture during inspections and documentation of objects.
The DJI Matrice 4E also includes a laser rangefinder that can measure distances up to 1800 meters at a measurement frequency of 1 Hz. With inclined measurement (1:5), the range reaches approximately 600 meters, allowing for measurement of objects at different angles. The minimum “blind zone” is about 1 meter, and the measurement accuracy is ± (0.2 + 0.0015 × D), allowing for reliable determination of distances and coordinates of objects.
The combination of three cameras and a laser rangefinder allows the Matrice 4E to perform a variety of tasks from precision mapping to visual inspections and field measurements. The system is designed for integration with automated missions, significantly accelerating workflows in surveying and industrial applications.
