The Nikon Zf mirrorless camera combines stylish retro design with cutting-edge technology. It offers high-resolution photos and 4K video, 8-stop sensor stabilization, 96-megapixel pixel-shift images, and more.
Elegant classic design
The Nikon Zf's design is a direct reference to the Nikon FM2 camera released in 1982. The body is made of sturdy magnesium alloy with an elegant finish and high-quality artificial leather. The controllers are precision-machined from brass.
The new camera is the first full-frame Nikon Z series camera to feature a vari-angle display. There are two memory card slots - one for SD and one for microSD cards. Switching to black and white shooting mode is displayed on one of the control dials.
24.5MP and EXPEED 7 processor
The Nikon Z f is equipped with a 24.5-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated sensor and the same EXPEED 7 processor as the flagship Nikon Z9. This combination delivers fast operation, excellent low-light performance (ISO 100 - 64000 expandable to 50 - 204800), precise and fast focusing, 96MP pixel-shift image recording, and more.
The sensor stabilization is 5-axis and provides 8 steps of compensation (when using Nikon Z lenses).
Fast Hybrid AF with 3D tracking
The Nikon Zf mirrorless camera uses a hybrid autofocus system with contrast and phase detection points and Deep Learning technology to recognize 9 different types of objects - the same as in the Nikon Z8. 3D object tracking is also available, but only in stills mode.
The autofocus has an impressive operating range of -10 to +19 EV.
4K video from 6K
The Nikon Z f records up to 4K60p video with 6K oversampling at 48 KHz, 24 bit Linear PCM audio in MOV video and 48 KHz, 16 bit AAC in MP4 with its built-in stereo microphone. SDR/HLG/N-log are available.
