The GoPro MAX2 360-degree action camera is a major upgrade to the GoPro MAX 360 series of video cameras. Compared to the previous generation, it offers significantly higher resolution and the ability to capture 8K video and 29 MP 360° photos, providing exceptional detail and realism in every frame. It also introduces 10-bit color depth with a GP-Log profile, which allows for professional processing and full control over colors.

The GoPro MAX 2 can capture 8K 360° video at 30fps, 5.6K at 60fps, and 4K at up to 100fps for super slow motion. The camera supports Single Lens mode with 4K60 video and Max HyperView for the widest and highest perspective.
29MP 360° photos
In 360° photo mode, the MAX2 offers 29MP resolution with the ability to reframe and edit via GoPro Quik. It supports Single Lens photos with 12MP, Burst and Night Photo modes, Ultra Wide, Wide and Linear digital lenses, RAW recording and Frame Grab for extracting frames from video. All photo modes allow for creative post-capture editing and perspective customization.
Single Lens mode and Max HyperView
The camera offers Single Lens mode for traditional 4K 60fps video, using either the front or rear lens. The included 180° Max HyperView digital lens provides the highest and widest perspective for traditional video, creating a sense of speed and dynamism in the footage.
Slow-motion and 10-bit color coding
MAX 2 offers super slow motion with 4K 100fps for 3x slow-motion or 5.6K 60fps for 2x slow-motion, allowing for detailed analysis of dynamic scenes. GoPro MAX2 offers 29MP 360° photos, 360 TimeWarp, 360 Time Lapse and 360 Night Lapse, as well as special effects like Star Trails, Light Painting and Vehicle Light Trails. Six microphones provide true 360° audio with stereo and wind reduction, and the Audio Field-of-View feature directs sound to the visual frame.
Reframe and vertical/widescreen capture
After shooting, the GoPro Quik app makes it easy to reformat your 360° video into standard 4K clips. You can choose between vertical social media or widescreen formats, as well as change the angles and perspective of your video. This feature allows for maximum creativity and saves time in post-production, making your 360° footage suitable for any platform.
