The Samyang AF 24-60mm F/2.8 FE covers the most commonly used focal lengths in everyday and professional work. At 24mm, the user can capture expansive landscapes, architectural lines or interior scenes where space is limited and a wide frame is needed. The intermediate values around 35–50mm provide flexibility for street photography, reportage and portraiture, creating a natural perspective and balanced composition. At the long end of 60mm, the lens allows for more intimate shots and getting closer to the subject without having to physically zoom in - ideal for portraits and capturing details. This range is practical and wide enough to replace several prime lenses and provide reliability in dynamic shooting conditions.

Constant aperture f/2.8

A constant f/2.8 aperture across the entire range is a key advantage of this model. It allows for low-light shooting, control over depth of field, and soft bokeh whether the lens is used at wide-angle or telephoto. This is especially valuable for event and wedding photography, as well as video shooting, where stable exposure is essential.

Optical design in collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach

The optical design of the Samyang AF 24-60mm F/2.8 FE was developed in collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach. It includes 14 elements in 11 groups, including three HR elements for increased resolution, two ED elements for reduced chromatic aberrations, and three aspherical elements for distortion correction. Thanks to these technologies, the lens provides a clear and contrasting image from the center to the edges of the frame, even when working with an open aperture. The UMC coating on the glass reduces flare and enhances contrast, helping when shooting in conditions with strong light sources or backlight.

Fast and quiet STM autofocus

The autofocus system uses a linear STM motor, which is fast, accurate and quiet. This makes it suitable not only for photography, but also for video shooting, where smooth movement and the absence of motor noise are important for the quality of the output. A built-in switch allows easy switching from automatic to manual mode, which allows for precise focusing in complex scenes.

Close-up detail shot capabilities

One of the strengths of this lens is its minimum focusing distance of 18 cm at 24 mm and 32 cm at 60 mm. This allows for capturing close-ups in high detail and creating macro-like images without the need for additional optics. With a magnification ratio of up to 0.27x, photographers can experiment with product photography, food or creative details.

Nine-blade diaphragm for soft bokeh

The lens features a nine-blade diaphragm that creates smooth, circular bokeh, making transitions in the frame natural and pleasing.

Rugged construction with IP5X protection

The body is made of aluminum and has IP5X protection against dust and splashes. An additional water and oil repellent coating ensures reliability in a variety of conditions from film sets to nature trips. Despite the solid construction, the weight is only 494 g, and the length varies between 102 and 126 mm depending on the focal length. This makes the lens easy to carry and comfortable for long shooting days.
