Description
The Canon RF 85mm f/1.4L VCM lens is a hybrid portrait fast lens featuring a manual iris ring for video shooting. It is designed for mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensors and an RF mount.
The lens is designed with 14 elements in 10 groups, including UD and aspherical elements, to minimize aberrations and deliver high resolution. The maximum aperture of f/1.4 enables beautiful bokeh and excellent low-light performance. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.75m and a maximum magnification of 0.12x, the lens offers flexibility in framing.
The design includes a silent VCM (Voice Coil Motor) autofocus that provides fast and accurate focusing, as well as minimal focus breathing, crucial for video production. The lens features a de-clicking aperture, manual focus, and a customizable button and control ring that provide additional flexibility in operation.
The body is resistant to dust and moisture, and the fluorine coating on the front lens repels dirt and makes it easy to clean.
