Cinematic quality with RED Color Science and Nikon
The Nikon ZR’s key advantage is its ability to record internally in REDCODE RAW (R3D NE), RED’s globally acclaimed format that provides unprecedented flexibility in post-production. In addition, the camera supports N-RAW and ProRes RAW HQ/422 HQ, as well as H.264/H.265, allowing creators to work with optimized file sizes without sacrificing quality.
Thanks to these formats, operators get a wider color gamut (REDWideGamutRGB) and a logarithmic Log3G10 curve, as with RED cameras, which makes it easier to mix footage from different sets and gives maximum freedom in color corrections.
