The Laowa 12-24mm f/5.6 Zoom Shift CF offers a unique combination of wide-angle zoom and perspective control with up to ±7mm of shift. This allows for vertical line correction without the need to tilt the camera, especially useful when shooting tall buildings or large-scale interiors. Thanks to this feature, photographers can achieve professional results directly in-camera, without relying solely on post-production.
The 12-24mm zoom range provides flexibility in your work. At the wide end, the lens captures expansive scenes with an impressive sense of space, while at 24mm, the result is a more focused and structured shot. The constant f/5.6 aperture ensures stable exposure throughout the range, making it easy to work in a variety of lighting conditions.
The optical construction includes 15 elements in 11 groups, including aspherical and ED elements to minimize chromatic aberrations and achieve high sharpness across the entire image. A nine-blade diaphragm creates a pleasing bokeh effect when the composition requires the subject to be separated from the background.
A minimum focusing distance of just 15cm allows for close-up experimentation, while the wide angle of view is used for dynamic and creative shots. The 77mm filter thread ensures compatibility with popular ND and polarizing filters – a convenience for photographers working with controlled light.
