The Kali Audio IN-5 professional active 3-way studio monitor is designed for creatives, producers and engineers who need precise and detailed sound reproduction. The IN-5 features a 3-way design featuring a 5-inch woofer, a 4-inch midrange driver, and a 1-inch fabric dome tweeter, all arranged on a single coaxial axis. This design provides optimal phase coherence and eliminates the off-axis lobing issues that often occur with standard monitors. The coaxial configuration allows the user to hear the music exactly as it was recorded, without distortion or inconsistencies between frequency ranges.
The built-in Class D amplifiers provide a total power of 160 W, distributed as 80 W for low frequencies, 40 W for mid frequencies and 40 W for high frequencies. This allows the IN-5 to deliver clean, dynamic sound and a maximum sound pressure of up to 115 dB at a distance of 1 meter. The monitor provides a frequency range of 39 Hz to 25 kHz (-10 dB) and a ±3 dB frequency response between 47 Hz and 21 kHz, ensuring detail and accuracy across the entire audio spectrum.
The IN-5's cabinet is designed with minimal resonances and an optimized acoustic design, which reduces vibrations and unwanted reflections. Input options include XLR (balanced), TRS (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced), allowing for easy connection to a variety of audio interfaces, mixers and computers. High-quality materials and a robust construction ensure long-lasting use even during intensive studio work.
