The monitor is equipped with two 6.5-inch speakers with a composite “W” material diaphragm and a new generation 1-inch aluminum-magnesium inverted dome tweeter, providing clarity and exceptional stereo imaging in the high frequencies. The frequency range of the system reaches from 40 Hz to 40 kHz (at -6 dB), making it suitable for modern, hybrid studios working with music, cinema and podcast content.
The built-in Bi-amp amplifier system with DSP control offers individual power for each frequency section, 2 x 70W for the low frequencies and 50W for the high frequencies. In addition, the Focal Twin6 includes a Focus mode, in which only one woofer and tweeter are active, turning the monitor into a second, alternative reference source.
The cabinet is designed with high-frequency damping and includes a dual front-firing bass reflex system, eliminating the need for wall clearance. This allows for precise operation even in more compact control rooms. Precise controls for tweeter and bass range level allow for adaptation to room acoustics. The monitor has an XLR analog input and a power input with an IEC connector.
