The Focal Solo6 ST6 uses a 6.5-inch speaker with a “W”-shaped sandwich membrane, patented by Focal technology, which provides an ideal balance between lightness, rigidity and damping. The result is a neutral and controlled reproduction of low and mid frequencies, with minimal distortion even at high levels. The high frequency range is handled by a 1-inch Beryllium inverted dome tweeter standard in high-end reference monitors. It provides exceptional clarity, transparency and an extended frequency range up to 40 kHz, making it suitable for critical listening, mixing and high-resolution mastering.
The Focal Solo6 ST6 includes built-in DSP processing that takes care of frequency calibration, linear phase behavior and “Focus” mode, an innovative feature that switches the monitor to single-band mode, allowing for checking the mix in a limited frequency range. This makes the ST6 not just a monitor, but a flexible reference system for mixing, mastering and production in critical environments.
The system uses Class G Bi-amp amplification – 80 W for the low/mid frequencies and 50 W for the high frequencies, with a maximum SPL of 110 dB at 1 meter, which provides sufficient headroom even in larger rooms. The rear of the monitor features adjustable treble and bass controls that allow adaptation to the acoustic characteristics of the room.
The cabinet is constructed from precisely engineered MDF with dual front bass-reflex ports, providing excellent control over low frequencies and freer positioning in the room.
