The Manfrotto MVK612TWINGA video tripod is a high-end professional video kit designed for cinema and broadcast camera operators looking for maximum stability, smooth movement and precise control. The system combines a Nitrotech 612 fluid head and an aluminum twin leg tripod with ground spreader, offering reliability in both studio and field shooting.
The core of the kit is the Nitrotech 612, a nitrogen counterbalance head that allows for smooth and continuous adjustment in the range of 4 to 12 kg (at a center of gravity of 55 mm). This means that regardless of the configuration, camera, matte box, follow focus or external monitor – the system can be finely balanced so that the movement remains controlled at any angle of inclination. Working with the camera becomes lighter and more precise, without sudden transitions or unwanted deviations.
The head uses advanced fluid pan and tilt technology, providing extremely smooth movements without jerking. A 3/8" Easy Link connector with anti-twist protection is provided, which allows stable mounting of additional accessories such as an external monitor or an arm with ARRI locating pin. The camera is fixed using a side-lock mechanism with a sliding plate, which guarantees secure and quick attachment.
The head has a flat base and a standard 3/8" thread, which allows use on various platforms, such as a tripod, slider, jib or crane. It is connected to the tripod via a 100 mm hemisphere, ensuring quick leveling.
The MVTTWINGA aluminum tripod is a two-stage twin leg model with a sturdy construction and a 100 mm cup. A 75 mm adapter is included, which expands compatibility. The ground spreader with telescopic arms allows precise adjustment of the leg angle and ensures stability on flat surfaces. The locks are reliable, and the double spikes on the legs make the system suitable for working on grass or uneven terrain. The tripod is also compatible with professional tripods (114MV and 181B).
