The SmallRig 3990 Top Plate For Sony FX3/FX30 SLR Unit is designed specifically for the top of the XLR module of Sony FX3 and FX30 cameras, allowing for an effective expansion of the mounting surface without compromising stability or weight. It provides the ability to add additional accessories directly onto the XLR audio module, which is especially useful when building compact and functional video rigs.
Constructed from aluminum and stainless steel, the plate is lightweight yet extremely strong. Its bottom layer includes a shock-absorbing pad that protects the XLR module from scratches and ensures secure, non-slip contact.
Mounting is done via the included 3/8"-16 thread adapter, which allows direct attachment to the SmallRig Top Handle Extension for FX3/FX30. This creates a stable base for mounting an additional handle, external monitor, microphone, or lighting.
There is 1 cold shoe socket and several 1/4"-20 threads available, which give great freedom in customizing the configuration to the needs of the production.
