The Viltrox AF 135mm f/1.8 LAB FE lens is a fast telephoto lens designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens uses an innovative HyperVCM motor, which provides up to 150% faster autofocus compared to standard STM mechanisms. It operates quickly and quietly, making it particularly suitable for video and dynamic scenes. A built-in system to reduce "focus breathing" contributes to a stable frame during video recording.
The optical design includes 14 elements in 9 groups, including four extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and two high refractive index elements. This construction reduces optical distortion and chromatic aberrations, ensuring high contrast, color accuracy and brilliant sharpness. The minimum focusing distance of 72 cm allows for detailed close-up shots.
The 11-blade rounded aperture and f/1.8 aperture create beautiful, soft and even bokeh, even in low light. The magnesium-aluminum alloy body provides strength and durability, while a protective multi-layer nanocoating protects against water, dust and smudges. The front element is specially treated to repel liquids and fingerprints.
The lens features two programmable Fn buttons, a multi-function ring, which offers quick access and full control during shooting. A built-in USB-C port allows for quick firmware updates to maintain compatibility and optimal performance. With a 82mm filter thread, the lens is compatible with a wide range of accessories.
