The SmallRig 4198 Sony A7III/A7RIII Cage Kit is precisely designed for the Sony a7 III and a7R III mirrorless cameras, providing reliable protection, multiple accessory mounting options, and more convenient operation when shooting video and photos.
The main component of the kit is the lightweight yet extremely sturdy aluminum cage that surrounds the camera without blocking access to buttons, ports, and the hot shoe mount. The built-in HDMI cable clamp with a screw mechanism stabilizes the HDMI connection, preventing accidental signal interruption, especially important when working with an external monitor.
An ARRI-style handgrip has been added to the top, improving grip and providing additional cold shoe mounting points for microphones, lights or monitors. This handgrip is ideal for low-angle shooting and carrying the camera with more control.
SmallRig 4198 Sony A7III/A7RIII Cage Kit is equipped with multiple threads (including 1/4”-20 and ARRI-locking points) that allow for the seamless addition of grips, mounting plates, brackets, rig systems, and other accessories from the SmallRig ecosystem. There are holes on both sides for mounting a hand strap (sold separately), for even greater stability when working handheld.
The kit also includes two hex bolts discreetly attached to the cage itself, facilitating quick assembly and field setup.
