The DM-E1D stereo directional microphone has a shotgun design and delivers high-quality video audio. It mounts easily to the multi-functional Hot Shoe of the new EOS R series models.

Capture a rich and realistic sound, such as the full range of a musical performance - from the high frequencies of violins and flutes to the low frequencies of double basses and bass guitars thanks to the recording range of 50 Hz to 16 kHz. -42 dB sensitivity allows you to record even the quietest sounds.
Flexible targeting capabilities
Add an impressive soundscape to your videos thanks to the three directional recording modes. Switch effortlessly between 90° and 120° patterns for high-quality stereo sound in spaces of various sizes, or use shotgun (mono) mode to clearly record subjects speaking directly to the camera without ambient noise.
High quality sound
Record clear, high-quality sound without unwanted noise thanks to the anti-shock mount, which helps avoid camera vibrations or lens movement; the included windshield significantly reduces street wind noise, and the 66dB S/N (signal-to-noise) ratio contributes to less background noise.
Easy to carry
The compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry the microphone wherever you go. Combined with the camera and lens, it creates a neat recording device that allows you to shoot comfortably without a tripod for a long time. Lightweight button-type lithium battery helps keep weight to a minimum.
