Elgato Wave XLR is a microphone audio interface designed to provide high-quality audio recording and processing for both professional and amateur sound recording. The device combines a microphone interface with digital mixing capabilities, offering convenient and powerful features for creating clean, professional audio.
The Elgato Wave XLR operates via USB Type-C and features a single XLR input and a microphone preamp designed for recording, podcasting, and streaming to Mac and Windows computers with 24-bit resolution and a choice of 48 or 96 kHz sampling rates. The device also features a 3.5 mm headphone jack input for monitoring.
The sleek and compact design uses one main multi-function control knob to control microphone gain, phantom power switch, headphone volume, and the balance between microphone input and computer playback.
The ultra-low noise preamp provides up to 75 dB of clean microphone signal gain, and a touch-sensitive mute button is conveniently located on the top rear of the interface. A long press of the control button activates 48V phantom power for condenser microphones.
Elgato Wave XLR features Clipguard technology, eliminating the need to monitor levels in real time or correct distorted audio after recording. When input levels are at their maximum, Clipguard technology automatically reroutes the signal through a second path at a lower volume, ensuring clean audio no matter how loud it is.
The interface is compatible with Wave Link software, which allows multi-channel audio management, giving full control over streaming or podcasting channels, creating two completely independent output mixes - one for you and one for your audience, monitoring them in real time.
