The Sony UTX-M40/K33 UWP-D Handheld Microphone is a wireless handheld model compatible with the URX-P40 receiver.
The transmitter offers a choice of 2772 UHF frequencies, adjustable 5/30mW RF power and provides up to 8 hours of operation on two AA batteries and a range of up to 100m.
The microphone is optimized to capture clear and intelligible speech. It captures sound from all directions, allowing for a variety of placement options and freedom of movement. The microphone capsule can be replaced with over 40 compatible models. The UTX-M40 is backwards compatible with Sony WL-800 and UWP series systems.
Two AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable NiMH) power the microphone for up to 8 hours. The device can also be charged via a USB port, allowing it to operate for extended periods of time with an external USB battery or from mains power. A special timer allows reading the battery's operating time with an accuracy of up to a minute.
