SMPTE 2110 IP connectivity
Blackmagic SmartView 4K G3 is fully compliant with the SMPTE‑2110 standard for IP video and audio transfer, synchronization, etc. This allows it to be directly incorporated into IP-based broadcast systems.
Blackmagic SDI Tally
Support for the Blackmagic SDI Tally protocol allows the SmartView 4K G3 to color frame different images on air and for review. This protocol is standard on all Blackmagic ATEM live switchers, with information reaching back to the monitor via the same BNC cable used to transfer the video.
Custom remote control solutions
Along with supporting macOS and Windows SmartView remote control software, the monitor supports custom remote control solutions created with Videohub. This includes brightness control, contrast, color saturation, input selection, 3D LUT activation, and more.
NMOS protocol support
The Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 supports the NMOS protocol and thus can be connected to a network of other 2110 IP video devices that function as a virtual router. The monitor supports IS-04 to detect and register IP video devices and IS-05 to control the connection between IP video devices.
Front panel controllers
The SmartView 4K G3 is equipped with a set of front panel controllers, including a button for switching inputs, for brightness control, focus peaking, 3D LUT selection and more.
Various resolutions
The monitor supports different resolutions, with video inputs automatically switching between SD, HD and UHD. It is also possible to add new standards as they are created through a software update.
