The device offers separate 12G-SDI Playback, Fill and Key outputs, as well as an RJ45 port for a 10G Ethernet connection for power and access to the materials.

The Blackmagic Design Media Player 10G is designed to fit easily into any broadcast process. Compatibility with DaVinci Resolve 19 enables a fast and precise workflow for newscasts and replays, and more.
The fast Thunderbolt connection enables seamless handling of large 4:4:4:4 and 4:2:2:4 files with alpha channels in all SD, HD and UHD video standards up to 2160p60 . The Thunderbolt connection is bi-directional for simultaneous video processing, capture and playback.
Independent Fill and Key outputs enable overlay graphics with transparency, and internal RGBA and YUVA support automatically transcodes RGB pixels to 10-bit YUV to the Fill output and the alpha channel of the 10-bit Key output. So they can be superimposed on the video via an external sweater.
The 10G Ethernet connection provides simultaneous multiple streams needed for replays, as well as lightning-fast access to files in Blackmagic Cloud Stores and ISO recordings for simultaneous multi-editor work in DaVinci Resolve.
Blackmagic Media Player 10G is designed to support high quality video in popular formats such as Apple ProRes, DNxHD and more. The DeckLink API ensures that the device works seamlessly with almost any popular video software, such as Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, Premiere Pro , and more, as well as impressive visual effects from Fusion, After Effects, and Photoshop.
The Media Player 10G's RS-422 port enables control of compatible broadcast automation software and systems. Support for the Desktop Video SDK makes it possible to develop custom solutions if necessary.
The device is compatible with Mac 13.0 Ventura, Mac 14.0 Sonoma and later, as well as Windows 10, 64-bit and Windows 11.
