Dedicated to the art of black-and-white photography, the Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome DSLR camera combines remarkable imaging performance and a host of advanced features in a compact and rugged body.
Featuring the new 25.7-megapixel APS-C format CMOS sensor, the Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome is designed without an AA ( anti-aliasing) filter for exceptional sharpness, and the monochrome specific image sensor faithfully reflects the brightness data obtained from every pixel to create exquisite high-resolution images rich in gradation. An ISO range of 200-1600000 allows the camera to work in a variety of lighting conditions, and the sensor is paired with an advanced image processor to ensure fast operation and processing when shooting photos and video.
The Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome is equipped with the PENTAX-developed SR II (Shake Reduction) mechanism, which effectively compensates camera shake by up to 5.5 stops for clear, blur-free photos, even in difficult shooting conditions or when shooting handheld with -slow shutter speeds.
The SAFOX 13 autofocus system features 101 autofocus points (with 25 cross-type sensors in the middle) to automatically focus on the subject with maximum precision, even when it is not located in the center of the frame.
The pentaprism optical viewfinder provides an impressive 1.05x magnification and nearly 100% field of view for a clear and realistic image without distortion.
The Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome features a 3.2" 1.62-dot touch LCD display, with a resolution of approx. 1,620,000 pixels. It is a convenient tool for image review, menu navigation and live view shooting The display has a night vision function that adjusts the brightness of the screen depending on the shooting conditions and a function to enlarge the image during its playback.
The construction of the Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome is robust and weatherproof. The chassis is made of light but durable magnesium alloy, and thanks to the use of special seals, the body is also dust-, water- and cold-resistant and able to work without fail, even in very harsh conditions.
The included rechargeable lithium-ion battery D-LI90 provides approximately 800 shots on a single charge, and the camera's USB-C port can be used to charge the battery in the body.
Dual SD card slots offer flexible data storage and transfer options, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity can be used for wireless image sharing or remote camera control via the Image Sync mobile app.
