Description
The Voigtlander 90mm f/2.8 Apo-Skopar lens is a medium manual focus telephoto lens designed for mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensors and a Leica M mount.
The innovative optical system uses anomalous partial dispersion glass for five of seven elements in seven groups to make images rich, three-dimensional in character and exceptionally clear.
The Voigtlander 90mm f/2.8 Apo-Skopar is extremely compact. Due to its small size (60mm length and weight only 250g), it does not protrude into the viewfinder frame when used on a rangefinder camera.
The aperture with its 10 slats has a special shape. It forms a circle not only at f/2.8 wide open, but also at f/4 and f/22. In this way, cinematic flares (circular light reflections) can be created when pointing the lens directly at a point light source.
Adding to the high image quality is the apochromatic design, which makes axial chromatic aberration as close to zero as possible.
The Voigtlander 90mm f/2.8 Apo-Skopar is designed for use with digital and film cameras connected to a rangefinder. The shortest shooting distance associated with the rangefinder is 90 cm (depending on the installed camera). This is very close indeed for a 90mm lens.
The body is solid and made entirely of metal.
