Description
The Zoom IQ7 MS Stereo Microphone is a stereo microphone that quickly and easily turns your iOS device into an audio recorder. The microphone is compatible with all devices with a Lighiting connector and finds various applications for recording sound from concerts, interviews, meetings, lectures, etc.
The Zoom iQ7 uses two high-quality, Mid/Side condenser microphones that can be tuned for deeper stereo sound. Using the large wheel on the front of the unit, you control the gain, while monitoring your levels using the 3-segment LED. The IQ7 features a 3.5mm headphone output that allows direct monitoring during recording and playback.
The Zoom iQ7 is compatible with Zoom's Handy Recorder app, which lets you record PCM or AAC files and offers effects like compression, EQ and reverb. Additionally, it can work with Apple's Voice Memos app, GarageBand, and more.
The Handy Recorder app
Zoom's Handy Recorder app, which you can download for free from the App Store, offers a set of tools. In addition to measuring the levels you see on the screen, the application allows you to adjust the volume in the headphones, as well as add an automatic recording function - convenient for meetings, lectures, speeches and more. Choose linear PCM format for the highest quality sound or AAC format to save storage space, then you can apply compression, EQ and reverb effects to your recordings. Handy Recorder even lets you email files and upload them to SoundCloud.
