The large f/1.2 maximum aperture helps work in low-light conditions and provides maximum control over depth of focus to isolate the subject.
The optical design of the XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR incorporates 13 elements divided into 8 groups. Two aspherical elements and one ultra-low dispersion element help reduce aberrations, and the eight elements used in the focusing group use high-refractive technology like the FUJINON Cinema series lenses to minimize chromatic, spherical and coma aberrations . The Super EBC coating suppresses flare and ghosting for excellent image contrast by improving color rendition, and the rounded eleven-blade diaphragm provides smooth and pleasing bokeh.
A DC motor ensures fast, quiet and precise autofocus, and the minimum distance of 50 cm allows the user to use the lens for portraits as well as product and advertising photography.
