The Eizo CG2700S monitor is a 27" IPS model with 2K WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, 400 cd/m2 brightness and HDR support, which allows it to reproduce images with remarkable detail.
In addition to its HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, the ColorEdge CG2700S lets you transfer video, data and up to 92W of power over a single cable with compatible laptops via the USB-C port. While many modern laptops are not equipped with a dedicated LAN port, the monitor has one directly built in for a stable wired connection. Connecting a laptop via USB Type-C provides network access through the monitor to share creative assets and files, perform remote post-production work and enable network color management via the ColorNavigator Network.
The ColorEdge CG2700S's built-in calibration sensor can be set to calibrate the monitor automatically at certain times. This eliminates the need for a separate device for the purpose and ensures always accurate colors. In addition, the sensor rotates on the screen, taking up minimal space and allowing you to continue working on your tasks even during calibration. The specialized ColorNavigator 7 software provides an intuitive and highly accurate color management solution.
The Eizo CG2700S delivers realistic color accuracy with coverage of sRGB 100%, Adobe RGB 99%, Rec. 709 / BT. 709: 100%, Rec. 2020 and DCI-P3 98%. The monitor has a high brightness level of 400 cd/m2. It supports HLG (hybrid log-gamma) and PQ (perceptual quantization) for displaying and editing HDR video content. Optimized gamma curves display images in a way that closely approximates how the human eye perceives the real world.
The color and brightness of the LCD monitor may change due to changes in the ambient temperature and the temperature of the monitor itself. ColorEdge CG series monitors are equipped with a temperature sensor to accurately measure the temperature inside the monitor as well as to estimate the ambient temperature. With this technology, the device adjusts in real time so that gradations, colors, brightness and other characteristics continue to be displayed accurately. In addition, EIZO uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the evaluation algorithm so that it can distinguish between different temperature change patterns to calculate an even more accurate correction.
