Description

Design

The Nikon Z30 is a compact camera with a DX-format sensor, suitable for those who want to frequently share the content they generate. The design of the new model with compact dimensions and a weight of only 350 g is aimed precisely at them. The body is equipped with a fully movable touch display that enables easy framing and control of settings even from a position in front of the lens. There is a light indicator for recording mode, a built-in stereo microphone, a 3.5 mm audio input and a slot for an SD memory card. The camera can connect to Snapbridge for file transfer or remote control. There is also an option to customize the menu.

Video

The Nikon Z30's video capabilities are as good as you'd expect from a vlogging camera. The model allows UHD 4K30p and FHD120p recording lasting over two hours, and can be used as a webcam. Constant power supply via USB Type C is possible.

Auto focus

The Nikon Z30 inherits many of the technologies used in the other Nikon Z series cameras, including the autofocus capabilities - and especially the detection and tracking of eyes and faces, people, dogs, cats, etc. Auto Area AF takes care of a quick and adequate shift of focus to the product presented during the vlogging and vice versa.

Photo

The Nikon Z30 also inherits the Nikon Z DX camera sensor and offers excellent image quality, high-speed shooting at up to 11 frames per second and a wide ISO 100-51200 (25600 for video) sensitivity range.

Accessories

Thanks to Smallrig, the Nikon Z30 will be able to be used even more easily and conveniently with the windshields developed for it, a tripod grip that combines with the Nikon ML-L7 remote, a mounting plate and an accessory cage.

Vlogging

Designed specifically for vlogging, the Z30 includes several particularly useful features:
 Fully removable touchscreen display that can be turned forward for precise selfie compositions and can be closed inwards to protect the screen from scratches and fingerprints when not in use.
Selfie-style controls let you change the focus and exposure position, as well as adjust the self-timer via the touchscreen, and an indicator light on the front clearly shows when the camera is recording.
Added a top stereo microphone and a 3.5mm external microphone port.
A special windshield reduces wind noise and improves quality when using the built-in microphone, and digital e-VR image stabilization minimizes unwanted vibrations during recording.
