Sony FX3 is a compact 4K cinema camera from the Sony Cinema Line series, developed specifically for one-man band cinemas. The model blurs the line between Sony Alpha series cinema and cameras, combining professional cinematic features and capabilities with those used in Sony hybrid cameras - stabilized sensor, 627-point hybrid autofocus with phase detection, Touch Tracking real-time), real-time eye focus, adjusting the prefocusing speed when moving from one subject to another and the sensitivity when tracking an object and possibly capturing another subject, and more.
Sony FX3 captures 4K video at 60 frames per second using the full-frame area of the sensor, as well as 4K video at 120 frames per second with 10 percent crop. The internal recording is 10-bit 4: 2: 2, and via HDMI it also outputs 16-bit RAW. For smaller file sizes, you can rely on XAVC HS with H.265 encoding, and XAVC SI ALL-I H.264 supports recording at up to 600 Mb / s. S-Cinetone is available for cinematic vision and seamless combination with the more solid representatives of the Cinema Line series and even with the Sony A7S III in multi-chamber productions. It also supports S-Log 3/2 and 10-bit HLG for simplified HDR productions.
Sony FX3 weighs only 715 grams (with battery and memory cards) and the dimensions of the case are 77.8 x 129.7 x 84.5 mm, which makes it suitable for use with more amateur gimbals and some drones.
