Tamron 150-500mm f / 5-6.7 Di III VXD is a dynamic super-tele zoom lens suitable for a variety of applications from landscape photography to shooting birds and wildlife. The focus mechanism with VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) engine provides extremely fast and precise movement and is compatible with Sony Hybrid AF and Sony Eye AF.
Image stabilization allows manual shooting even at 500mm, and the rotating tripod collar with Arca mounting is equipped with strap lugs for extra security and support when shooting.
The body of the lens is resistant to moisture, and the front element has a fluoride coating that repels dirt. It is equipped with a mechanism for locking the position of the zoom, and the control ring has a stroke of only 75 ° for maximum reaction.
The optical circuit of the Tamron 150-500mm f / 5-6.7 Di III VXD consists of 25 elements, including XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass-Molded Aspherical) elements, which control the various aberrations and distortions and provide excellent clarity and color rendering. Each of the elements is treated with anti-reflective coating BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) against internal reflections, glare and ghosts.
