Description
In the early 60-ies of XX century, Constantine Manos spent three years in Greece, working for Magnum agency. The book A Greek portfolio is a visual diary of his travels. These black-and-white photographs, taken in small villages and secluded farms, document a way of life that has remained almost unchanged for centuries, just before it was swallowed up by the modern world.
The book A Greek portfolio, first published in 1972, has long been a collector's rarity. This updated edition includes eight unpublished photographs.
About the author:
Konstantin Manos was born in South Carolina in 1934. He is an American photographer of Greek descent and a full member of the Magnum agency. His work has been displayed in leading museums around the world.
