Description
The Canon RF 85mm f / 1.2L is a short telephoto lens with wide aperture and advanced optical design, extremely suited for portrait photography, low light and low depth of field imaging.
The optical circuit includes a Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics element. This is a specially designed optical element that helps to eliminate chromatic aberrations almost completely and helps to produce clearer, more detailed images with accurate color rendering. In addition, there is an aspheric element and an ultra-low dispersion element for even better images with minimal variations. The special Air Sphere coating eliminates parasitic reflections.
In addition to its optical qualities, the Canon RF 85mm f / 1.2 L is equipped with a ring-shaped ultrasonic motor that delivers near-silent autofocus while controlling manual focus.
An individually adjustable control ring is integrated into the lens, through which various camera settings can be changed directly from the lens.

At f / 3.2, both versions of the lens have nearly identical light transmittance and performance.
