The optical design of the Tamron 70-180mm f / 2.8 DI III VXD includes 6 elements with low dispersion and three aspherical elements for maximum correction of various aberrations, and the BBAR-G2 coating improves color reproduction and contrast and reduces unwanted reflections.
A floating optical element ensures consistent image quality throughout the focus range. Autofocus is provided by two linear VDX autofocus motors with a permanent option for manual focus correction.
The body of the Tamron 70-180mm f / 2.8 DI III RXD is moisture resistant and the lenses have a fluorite coating that repels dirt. The lens also offers a zoom lock during transport.
