The Zeiss Batis 40mm f/2 lens is a rigid wide-angle autofocus model for mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensors, but can also be used with APS-C models, where it will provide a 60mm equivalent focal length.
The f/2 maximum aperture is suitable for working in low-light conditions and offers greater control over depth of field.
Elements in the optical scheme contribute to a significant reduction of chromatic and spherical aberrations, color fringing and distortion, and the ZEISS T coating minimizes reflections for increased clarity, sharpness, contrast and color accuracy.
A linear motor ensures fast, precise and quiet autofocus, and the built-in OLED display at the top of the lens shows Focus Distance and DoF.
The dust and moisture-resistant construction allows work even in adverse weather conditions.
