Description
The NIKKOR Z 50mm F / 1.8 S is a compact standard lens with a maximum aperture of f / 1.8, which contributes to good performance in difficult lighting conditions and also offers better control over the depth of field. The optical design of the lens includes two aspherical and two Extra Low Dispersion elements, which successfully deal with chromatic and spherical aberrations and help to achieve clearer and sharper images. Super Integraded Coating and Nano Crystal coatings are used to suppress glare, as well as for accurate color reproduction and higher contrast.
NIKKOR Z 50mm F / 1.8 S is equipped with a stepper motor that provides fast, quiet and precise autofocus, as well as a ring with programmable settings for the camera and exposure. The rounded aperture with nine lamellae contributes to the pleasant quality of the focus, which is useful when using selective focusing techniques.
The lens is dust and moisture resistant, which allows its use in bad weather conditions.
