The Pentax HD 50mm f/1.4 D FA SDM AW lens is a standard portrait model with a bright maximum aperture that allows for precise low-light shooting as well as a wide range of focus control.
Although designed for full-frame Pentax K-mount cameras, the lens can also be used on crop-sensor cameras, where it provides an equivalent focal length of 76.5mm.
The SDM ultrasonic motor enables smooth and fast autofocus.
Aero Bright Coating combined with HD coating on the lens elements reduce flare and flare in extreme lighting situations, and the rounded 9-lamella diaphragm creates smooth and creamy bokeh.
The weather-resistant design allows for operation in adverse outdoor conditions, and the SP coating on the front element of the lens repels water and grease
