Description
The Fujifilm GFX 50S is a medium format mirrorless camera that features a large 43.8 x 32.9mm 51.4MP CMOS sensor, advanced imaging capabilities and a modular design. The combination of 51.4MP sensor and X-Processor Pro processor allows you to capture images with extremely wide dynamic range and high resolution, as well as extended light sensitivity of ISO 50-102400 for work in difficult lighting conditions. Thanks to the large medium format sensor, Fujifilm GFX 50S manages to achieve three-dimensional images with a smooth tone and color transition, and the collaboration with the processor allows serial shooting up to 3 fps or recording Full HD 1080p / 30 video.
Design and construction
In addition to the imaging capabilities, the Fujifilm GFX 50S is a multifunctional design that helps with a variety of camera modes. The camera has a 3.69K point OLED viewfinder that can also be used with an additional tilt adapter to allow you to look at different angles. In addition, the GFX 50S has a rear 3.2 "touchscreen LCD display that moves in three directions and also provides convenience in dynamic working conditions, with the upper LCD screen giving you information on current settings and exposure data.
The body structure is made of magnesium alloy, which makes the body lightweight and durable, as well as weatherproof and dustproof and works even at very low temperatures.
117-Point AF System
The Fujifilm GFX 50S uses an 117-point contrast detection autofocus system, which can be further divided into 425 points for exceptional speed and focus accuracy. Focal point selection is possible with the integrated Focus Lever for intuitive point switching, and alternatively, the rear touch screen can also be used to select precise focus areas. Other features of the system are face and eye recognition, and the electronic depth-of-field scale can also be used for more accurate selective focus. Using a large, 43.8 x 32.9mm 51.4MP CMOS sensor and X-Processor Pro, the GFX 50S is capable of delivering 14-bit high resolution images with 14 stop dynamic range as well as light sensitivity of ISO 100-12800 which can be expanded to ISO 50-102400. The large pixel size allows for more efficient light harvesting to achieve smoother tone and color transitions to give the characteristic three-dimensional medium-format appearance.
In addition to the standard medium to large aspect ratio of 4: 3, various uncharacteristic ratios such as 1: 1, 65:24, 5: 4, 7: 6, 3: 2 and 16: 9 can be used.
The image processor and large sensor work together to shoot up to 3 fps or record Full HD 1080p video at 29.97, 25, 24 and 23.98 fps. The camera also offers movie simulation modes that help reduce the need for color correction during video post-processing.
