The Panasonic HC-VXF990 is a camcorder that combines Ultra HD 4K video with built-in cropping and editing tools and offers easy, yet powerful, options for consumers to capture high-quality video. The camcorder is equipped with advanced features including HDR Movie Mode for storing more information in images, Wireless Multi Camera mode, multiple cinema effects such as Slow and Quick Video, Dolly effect and more. The Panasonic HC-VXF990 also comes with a tilting electronic viewfinder that allows you to shoot easily in any condition.
The Panasonic HC-VXF990 is a compact camera that offers Ultra HD 4K Video and 4K shots to keep the highlights. This is possible thanks to high-speed and precise autofocus, and the Crystal Engine 4K processor manages to process large 4K data quickly and precisely while suppressing noise. The Leica Dicomar lens creates clear images with rich nuances and minimal reflections and glare. An advanced BSI sensor with close to 8M effective pixels suppresses distortion by increasing data read speed to achieve correct scene rendering.
Built-in 4K tools
Built-in editing tools let you crop your 4K video and add effects while saving the edited videos to MP4 1080 / 25p.
Post Zooming allows you to zoom in smoothly and easily zoom in and out of the center without changing the camera angle.
Post Panning gives you accurate, smooth panoramic shooting that you just have to choose the start and end points for.
Post Tracking allows you to easily track a selected person in the video, with your camcorder automatically holding the subject in the cropped area.
Post Stabilizer allows you to compensate for vibrations by automatically adjusting the cropping position and the result is more stable and clear video.
Cinema effects
Slow & Quick Video allows you to combine slow and fast motion in active scenes.
Slow Zoom allows you to easily and smoothly approach your subject, which is otherwise difficult to achieve by hand.
The Dolly Zoom effect was first used by Alfred Hitchcock. With it the background approaches, while the size of the object remains unchanged.
Slow Motion lets you save your favorite moments in slow motion.

Wireless Multi Camera
The Panasonic HC-VXF990 offers the Wireless Multi Camera feature that lets you add more emotion to your video. The feature allows you to connect up to three smartphones wirelessly and use two of them as secondary cameras at the same time, with images being interchangeable. So you can shoot from multiple angles and different angles to produce more impressive video. This feature is not available in 4K mode and at 24p.
HDR Movie
Enjoy clearer video with more detail thanks to HDR Movie. The function assembles two frames shot at different exposures to suppress too light areas and too dark shadows. Even in difficult light conditions such as counterexamples, you can easily capture video with excellent tone gradation. A dedicated HDR button allows you to easily switch between modes when needed. This feature is not available in 4K mode and at 24p.
