Description
Lens Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 18-55mm f / 3.5-5.6G VR
The Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 18-55mm f / 3.5-5.6G VR is a standard compact optical zoom lens (VR) that covers a wide-to-portrait range with a focal length equivalent (35mm film) of 27-82.5mm. The lens is also useful for video capture, with the new AF-P stepper motor for quick focus and smooth focus shift from subject to subject virtually noiseless. The Super Integraded coating, which is applied to individual elements, helps suppress reflections and glare to enhance contrast and accurate color rendering when operating in bright conditions.
Compact and lightweight DX zoom lens - for quality everyday photography
With its zoom range, ranging from wide-angle to normal, and its compact design, it's an excellent portable lens. You will always be ready to shoot multiple subjects - from city photos and landscapes to family sports events and action-packed HD movies. Regardless of the subject, the Nikon Vibration Reduction feature maintains image clarity even in low light conditions. Optimized design makes the lens compact and comfortable for everyday wear.
Daily: Compact and lightweight zoom lens with 3.1x magnification
It covers the commonly used focal length range of 18-55mm (35mm equivalent: 27-82.5mm) with a maximum aperture of f / 3.5 - 5.6. From portraits to landscapes, this lens is perfect for capturing any kind of photo. It is also ideal for shooting HD movies.
Smooth, fast autofocus: Nikon stepper motor
Nikon's new stepper motor provides fast focus and is ideal for filming. Thanks to the new engine, this lens works quieter and even faster than its predecessor. When zooming in on a photo, you can focus objects instantly and with absolute accuracy. When shooting a video clip, the engine allows a smooth shift of focus from subject to subject virtually silent.
Nikon-quality images
This DX format lens is specifically designed to optimally utilize the high pixel count and advanced image sensor of Nikon D-SLR cameras. Both aspherical lenses minimize spherical aberration and other forms of distortion so you can enjoy high-resolution pictures and movies with vivid colors, striking contrast and high sharpness.
Vibration Reduction (VR)
Nikon's impressive vibration reduction feature maintains clarity of images even in low light conditions. Designed to allow more steady shooting at hand, the vibration reduction feature lets you use up to four stops at lower speeds. Whether you're taking portraits, group shots or capturing spectacular landscapes, the lens helps you take blurry images every time. You can turn the vibration reduction feature on and off using the camera's menu.
You can switch between autofocus and manual focus and turn the vibration reduction feature on and off using the camera menu *. Without switches on the lens cylinder itself, there is no danger of accidentally changing the settings when you want to take the picture.
The portable lens for everyday use
Ultra-compact and lightweight, it's the perfect portable lens. The lens body weighs only 205 g and you can retract it when not in use so that its length is only 62.5 mm, making it comfortable to carry anywhere with you.
* Works with compatible cameras only: D5500 / D5300 / D3300. Compatible cameras may require a firmware update.
