Description
Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K 2 is a compact and lightweight broadcast camera, specially designed for live broadcast. This is the second version of the model, in which the built-in battery has been removed, which further facilitates the camera during transportation and at the same time complies with the restrictions for transporting batteries in an airplane and others.
The body of Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K 2 is made of magnesium alloy and is extremely strong, despite its low weight. It is equipped with a 10-inch screen with a removable canopy and an MFT mount for lenses. There are many threads for installation - 2 pcs. 3/8 "-16 on the lower side and 10 pcs. 1/4" -20 - 3 on each side and 4 on the upper side of the case.
The model also offers tally indicator, talkback functionality, XLR audio inputs, 12G-SDI inputs and outputs and even an option for an optical cable with an additional module.
The camera's control panel is a row of buttons located below the display and allows settings to be set as directly as possible, without unnecessary burial in the menus. The connectors of Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K 2 are grouped on both sides of the case - on one side are video input and output (12G-SDI and optical) and power input, and on the other - 2 XLR audio inputs, headphone output and LANC port .
The built-in Talkback functionality allows the use of a wide range of headset headphones and does not require an additional cable. Tally functionality is standard on all Blackmagic ATEM switches, and the two indicator lights are located on the front and back of the camera for maximum visibility.
The large built-in monitor can serve as a program monitor at the touch of a button, which will display the switch feed or Blackmagic HyperDeck recording if the camera is used for recording.
