Description
The Audio-Technica BP4027 is a professional stereo shotgun microphone with an electret condenser element, designed for sound recording in video productions, documentary projects, reports and other situations where quality sound capture in a real environment is required. With its stereo sound format and the ability to choose between two polar patterns, Figure-8 and Hypercardioid, the microphone offers flexibility in operation and allows adaptation to different acoustic conditions and requirements of the specific recording.
The Audio-Technica BP4027 is suitable for recording dialogue, interviews, atmospheric sounds and events where the sound needs to be presented with a sense of space and natural perspective. The stereo configuration allows for the capture of spatial information in the sound environment, which is especially useful when shooting outdoor scenes, documentary reports and video productions, in which ambient sounds are an important part of the story. The choice of polar pattern allows the microphone to be set up according to the situation, taking into account the location of the main sound source and the presence of other sounds in the environment.
The frequency range from 30 Hz to 20 kHz allows recording of a wide range of sound frequencies, from low-frequency components to high-frequency details. This provides the ability to capture both the voice and the characteristic features of the surrounding acoustic environment. The built-in low-cut filter (Low Cut/HPF) is designed to limit unwanted low-frequency interference that can occur when working outdoors or when the microphone is moving. This gives the operator additional control over the sound recording even during filming.
The microphone supports a maximum sound pressure of 126 dB SPL at 1 kHz and 1% THD, which allows working with relatively loud sound sources within the specified parameters. The sensitivity of -36 dB and a dynamic range of 102 dB complete its characteristics for professional use. The BP4027 has a 5-pin XLR output and is powered by 48 V phantom power. A 60 cm cable is included in the kit, which provides connection to compatible audio equipment.
