The Smallrig 6774 Advanced HawkLock Cage is a specialized protective cage designed for the Sony FX5 camera, which provides stable mechanical protection for the body, while expanding the possibilities for mounting additional accessories. The design is tailored to the shape of the camera and allows for a more complete configuration for professional video shooting.
The cage uses a stable mounting system with anti-twist elements, which limits unwanted rotation or displacement of the camera during operation. The camera is mounted via an Arca-Type plate, and the structure is designed to provide a reliable connection between the body and the cage when working with various configurations and accessories.
The Smallrig 6774 features multiple anti-twist 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for mounting various accessories. This allows arms, monitors, microphones, lights, handles, and other components to be added to the cage according to the specific shooting configuration. Both female threads and a 1/4"-20 male screw are available for direct attachment of compatible accessories.
The top of the cage features a NATO rail and cold shoe, providing additional options for quick accessory mounting. The NATO system allows for the use of compatible quick-release accessories, while the cold shoe mount is suitable for compact microphones, lights, and other accessories.
The design includes detachable top plates that allow the top of the cage to be adapted to the configuration used. This facilitates access and positioning of accessories and provides greater flexibility when building a rig for different shooting tasks.
