Description
The Viltrox DC-X3 6" Touchscreen HD Monitor is an external monitor for cameras and camcorders, designed for professional video shooting, interviews, documentary projects and field work. The standard kit includes the monitor, lens hood, shoe mount adapter, HDMI Type-A to Mini-HDMI cable and NP-F550 battery. The six-inch display provides a larger area for viewing the frame compared to the built-in screen of many cameras, making it easier to compose, check focus and control exposure.
The monitor features an IPS LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a maximum brightness of 2000 cd/m². The high brightness is especially useful when working outdoors, when ambient light makes it difficult to see the screen. The contrast ratio is 1000:1, the viewing angle reaches 160°, and the color coverage is 100% sRGB and 100% Rec.709 according to published specifications. The display supports 8-bit color reproduction and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The DC-X3 features HDMI 1.4 and 3G-SDI inputs and outputs, allowing you to receive video from a compatible camera and output it to other equipment. HDMI supports input and output of up to UHD 4K at 30 Hz, while the 3G-SDI interface is designed for compatible professional video formats up to 1080p. Available image analysis tools include waveform, histogram, RGB parade, false color, zebra, image magnification and peaking to assist in focusing. The monitor also supports loading of custom 3D LUT profiles to view color interpretation during shooting.
Power can be supplied via compatible Sony NP-F batteries, USB-C or DC input. The built-in NP-F series battery holder allows the use of different compatible capacities depending on the duration of the shooting session. A headphone output with a 3.5 mm jack allows for audio monitoring, and the 1/4" mounting thread makes it easy to attach to a camera, cage or suitable support. With dimensions of approximately 155.4 × 98.4 × 30 mm and a weight of approximately 350 g, the monitor is suitable for mobile shooting configurations.
