Description
Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 AF DI III-A VC RXD is a standard zoom lens with a focal length equivalent to 25.5-105mm for APS-C (crop) with a constant aperture of f/2.8. The lens is suitable for all everyday situations, covering from wide-angle to medium telephoto, and thanks to its high aperture, it is also suitable for shooting situations with poor lighting. The optical design includes aspherical and low dispersion elements, which provide a corrected image with great sharpness and accurate color reproduction. Tamron has also relied on their BBAR coating on the elements, which reduces flare and allows for greater contrast when shooting in challenging lighting conditions.
To make it versatile, the lens has an added stabilization system that reduces vibrations, both in photography and video at slower speeds. The RXD motor provides fast and almost silent autofocus, and the minimum focusing distance is only 19cm. The lens is protected from moisture and adverse conditions, and the front element is covered with a fluorine coating that protects against fingerprints and greasy stains.
