The system is suitable for both videographers and journalists, as well as content creators who are looking for reliable wireless audio recording with a long range and a stable signal in various shooting conditions.
The kit includes two bodypack transmitters, a dual-channel camera-mount receiver, and two omnidirectional lavalier microphones, allowing simultaneous recording of two separate sound sources in one system. This makes it particularly suitable for interviews, podcasts, presentations, conversational formats, and field productions where simultaneous recording of two people is required.
BY-WM8 Pro-K2 uses UHF technology with PLL synthesized control oscillator for more stable signal and minimize interference during operation. The system supports 48 selectable channels and operates in the frequency range of 576.4 MHz - 599.9 MHz for transmitter A and 568.6 MHz - 592.1 MHz for transmitter B. The available frequency bandwidth of up to 32 MHz allows for more flexible operation in different environments and easier avoidance of interference from other wireless devices.
The wireless system offers a working range of up to 100 meters in an open environment without obstacles, making it suitable for interviews, electronic journalism, events, field productions and working on larger film sets. The connection between the transmitters and the receiver is stable and reliable even in more dynamic shooting situations.
The system supports a frequency range of 40 Hz to 18 kHz with a deviation of ±3 dB for clear and natural voice reproduction. The distortion level is below 0.5%, and the signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver is over 70 dB, which ensures clear and detailed sound for both conversation and recording of the environment.
The included lavalier microphones use a back electret condenser design with omnidirectional directivity for uniform voice pickup. They offer a frequency range of 35 Hz – 18 kHz, sensitivity of -30 dB ±3 dB, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dB SPL. The locking 3.5 mm connector prevents accidental disconnection during recording and provides more secure operation on the move.
The transmitters and receiver feature LCD displays for easy access to settings and information about channel, signal level and battery. Infrared synchronization allows for quick and easy connection between devices, and a lock function prevents accidental changes to settings during operation.
The receiver offers a 3.5 mm audio output and a headphone output for direct audio monitoring. The transmitters feature a 3.5 mm MIC input and LINE IN input for connecting both microphones and external audio sources.
The system is powered by AA batteries, with the transmitters providing approximately 6 hours of operation and the receiver about 4 hours of operation.
