GoPro Mission 1 with new 1-inch sensor
One of the biggest changes to the GoPro Mission 1 is the use of a new 50MP 1-inch CMOS sensor. The larger sensor allows for more light to be captured and better image quality, especially in low light.
GoPro uses Quad Bayer technology with large combined pixels, which improves dynamic range and reduces noise in video and photos. The company says the camera offers up to 14 stops of dynamic range, which is a significant step forward for such a compact device.
The new GP3 processor provides faster image processing, better thermal management, and AI-based algorithms for a more natural picture and clearer image in low light.
8K video and Open Gate recording
The GoPro Mission 1 supports 8K video recording at up to 30 frames per second and 4K video at up to 120 fps. The camera also offers Open Gate mode, which uses almost the entire sensor area for more flexible framing and easier adaptation to different content formats.
