SmallRig 5587 Cage for Sony FX2 is a professional aluminum cage designed to provide stability, protection and flexibility when working with the Sony FX2 camera. It offers an extremely precise fit, while maintaining full access to all buttons, ports and compartments of the camera, without limiting its functionality. It is made of high-quality aluminum, which ensures strength at minimal weight.
The cage is compatible with a variety of accessories and mounting systems, featuring 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threads with ARRI positioning holes, cold shoe mounts for microphones and lighting, as well as a NATO rail for quick attachment of additional elements. Thanks to the integrated strap and handgrip holes, the camera can be easily configured to the operator’s needs.
The design of SmallRig 5587 ensures a tight fit to the Sony FX2 body, without any gaps or slippage. It supports mounting of SmallRig Top Handle, Side Handle, monitor mounts, follow focus systems, as well as external recorders. It is also compatible with Quick Release systems for mounting rigs, tripods or gimbals, making the cage suitable for both studio and field work.
