The Samyang AF 16mm F2.8 P FE ultra-wide-angle prime lens is designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras with Sony E mount. With its 16mm focal length and over 100° angle of view, it offers impressive perspective and scope, making it an ideal choice for landscapes, architecture, interior photography and creative video content.
Despite its compact size (only 70.5mm long) and low weight of 207g, the lens offers serious optical performance. The construction includes 8 elements in 7 groups, with three ED (low dispersion), one HR (high refractive) and one aspherical element. This sophisticated optics reduces aberrations, distortion and loss of sharpness at the periphery, ensuring clarity across the entire frame.
The minimum focusing distance of just 12cm enables semi-macro shots that preserve the surrounding context. This makes the model suitable not only for landscapes, but also for creative close-up shots.
